11-14-1922 (City Council) Minutes CALL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, HELD AT WYLIE, TEXAS, NOV. 14, 1922. At a call meeting of the City council of the City of Wylie, Texas, held at the City Hall, November 14, 1922, the following members being present: George W. Housewright, Mayor C. J. Marrs, Alderman C. L. Hillis, Alderman Jeff Knight, Alderman D. Story, Alderman J. R. Bowman, Alderman, and Albert Davis, City Secretary, among other proceedings, the following were had: The following resolution was offered by Alderman C.L. Hillis, seconded by Alderman C. J. Moore, and was carried by unanimous vote of the Council: WHEREAS HERETOFORE, the City Council of the City of Wylie, has advertised asking for sealed bids to be opened at One O'Clock on the Fourteenth of November, A D, 1922, for the sale of this City's bonds in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars, and described as follows: Dated Dec. 1, 1922. Bearing interest at the rate of 6% per annum, payable semi- annually, and to mature serially $1,000 each year 1927 to 1950 inclusive, and $2,000 each year 1951 to 1960 inclusive, and $3,000 each year of 1961 and 1962, and for the purpose of constructing water works, in and for the City of Wylie. AND WHEREAS, the offer of the Brown-Crammer Co. of Wichita, Kansas, to pay par and accrued interest and $102.50 for the said bonds is the highest and best offer, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE City Council of the City of Wylie, that the offer of the Brown-Crammer Co. be and the same is hereby accepted, and the Mayor, George W. Housewright, and Albert Davis, City Secretary, be authorized and instructed to execute the contract with the said Brown-Crammer Co. covering the provisions and conditions of the sale. Geo. W.
