11-26-1923 (City Council) Minutes Wylie, Texas Nov. 26, 1923
The Council met in called session in office of the City Atty. with all members present and
with Mrssrs Weeks, Hightower and McKee of the McKee Dlg. Co. present. The Mayor
called council to order at 3:00 PM and stated that the purpose of the meeting was to
inform the Drilling Co. of the condition of our well and as per contract we expected the
Dlg. Co. to place liner in this well which it is thought at this time to be necessary. Mr.
Weeks said that his Co. understood that the contract was completed when the rig was
taken down and that they didn't feel like assuming any responsibility after that time. His
attention was then called to the agreement made with Mr. McKee at the time payment
was made for drilling the well regarding their placing this liner if found necessary before
the well would produce satisfactorily. It has been satisfactorily determined that there is
ample supply of water in the well. After considerable discussion, consuming most of the
afternoon, the Drilling Co. agreed to place the liner in the well.
There being no further business, council adjourned.
Approved: 12/5/23 Mayor L. Fay Hughes, Secy.
