12-22-1926 (City Council) Minutes Dec 22, 1926 Council met at 8PM on above date with the following present=L. O. Neal, Mayor, Loyd Neilon, C. J. Marrs, Jick Housewright, L. F. Daniel, Aldermen, L. F. Hughes, Clerk, Hardy Corzine, Pumper. Minutes of previous meeting were read & approved. City clerk was instructed to ask Mr. Finch to find out when and by what authority the crossing at John Russell Crossing— 50 feet North of North Switch Stand in yards at Wylie—was taken out and removed. Hardy Corzine was instructed to investigate the condition of mud hole reported near Mrs. B. Burns's property. Dumping grounds at Martin's place reported in bad condition. Hardy was asked to investigate— and to put notice in paper about dumping at that place. The rates for water and sewerage service to the school was discussed. It was the wish of all present that water and sewerage service might be furnished to the school free of charge, but on account of the City not being in position to do this, it was decided to make a change of 250 straight per 1000 gals of water and $1.00 per month on each commode.
