10-05-1928 (City Council) Minutes Oct 5 1928 The City Council met in regular session on date above. Those present were Earl Hogge, W. H. Brigham, E. Housewright, J. A. Hammett, Loyd Neilon. Upon motion by W. H. Brigham and sec. by Loy Neilon that Earl Hogge and S. M. McDonald have printed delinquent tax notices and mail notices to all persons who are delinquent in their city taxes and urge that the same be paid at once. Motion carried. It was moved by J. A. Hammett and secd by E. Housewright that the city tax rate be raised from $1.25 to $1.50 on the $100.00 valuation. Motion carried. Connie Marrs was appointed to collect street tax from all male citizens between the age of 21 and 45 yrs. R. L. Gallagher, Ed Willis, & J. W. McDonald was appointed as an Equalization Board.
