08-06-2001 (WEDC) Minutes Minutes WYLIE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION August 6,2001 Board Members Present: Gary Bowland Marvin Fuller Kevin St. John John Yeager Merrill Young Staff Present: Samuel Satterwhite, Executive Director With notice of the meeting posted in time and manner required by law and a quorum of Board members present, the Board of Directors of the Wylie Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) met in Regular Session on August 6, 2001 in the City Council Conference Room located at 2000 Highway 78 North, Wylie, Texas. The meeting was called to order by President John Yeager at 7:15 a.m. ITEM NO. 1 —Executive Session: Hold Executive Session to Deliberate Personnel Matters as Authorized in the Texas Local Government Code, Section 551.074. The WEDC Board of Directors convened into Executive Session at 7:20 a.m. to discuss the annual performance evaluation of the WEDC Executive Director. ITEM NO. 2—Reconvene from Executive Session. The WEDC Board of Directors reconvened from Executive Session at 7:40 a.m. The WEDC Board presented to the Executive Director their annual review of work. Discussed was a brief review of the previous year performance. Emphasis was placed on the 2001 — 2002 work program identifying several key goals: 1. resolve conveyance of right-of-way to Highway 78 property owners; 2. increased marketing and disposal of WEDC property located at 404 S. Highway 78; 3. encourage the redevelopment of Cooper Drive; and 4. development of Premier South Business Park. MOTION: A motion was made by Marvin Fuller and seconded by Kevin St. John to increase the annual salary of the Executive Director to $90,000 and the car allowance to $8,400. The WEDC Board of Directors voted 5 —FOR and 0 —AGAINST in favor of the motion. WEDC—Minutes August 6, 2001 Page 2 ITEM NO. 3—Citizen Participation. There being no citizen participation, President Yeager proceeded to Item No. 4. ITEM NO. 4—Adjourn.
