March 3, 2005

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro Tern Eric Hogue called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Council Members present were:
Councilwoman Reta Allen, Councilman Chris Trout, Councilman Earl Newsom, and Councilman
Merrill Young. Mayor John Mondy and Councilman J. C.Worley were absent.
Staff present were: City Manager, Mark B. Roath; Assistant City Manager, Mindy Manson; City
Engineer, Chris Hoisted; Interim Finance Director, Ron Hutchison; Public Information Officer, Mark
Witter,and City Secretary,Carole Ehrlich.
INVOCATION
Councilman Newsom gave the invocation and City Manager Roath led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Pro Tern Hogue recessed into Executive Session at 5:03 p.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Recess into Closed Session in compliance with Section 551.001,eLseq.,Texas Government Code,
to wit:
Section 551.072. To deliberate the purchase,exchange,lease or value of real property generally
located at:
• Third and Oak Streets along S.H.78
RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION
Mayor Pro Tern Hogue reconvened into open session at 5:15 p.m.
Take any action as a result of Executive Session
A motion was made by Council Young, seconded by Councilwoman Allen to authorize staff to enter
into a contract to purchase property located at 301 Highway 78 North, Wylie Texas in the amount of
$131,258.00 and to authorize the City Manager to execute said contract. A vote was taken and passed
5-0 with Mayor Mondy and Councilman Worley absent.

ADJOURNMENT
With no further business before Council a motion was made by Councilman Newsom to adjourn the
meeting. Consensus of Council was to adjourn at 5:17 p.m.
