CALL TO ORDER
Chair Jon Lewis called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM and stated that a quorum was
present. Commissioners present: Commissioner Sandra Stone, Commissioner James
Park, Commissioner Mandi Wilson, and Commissioner John Pugh. Those absent were
Vice Chair Gary Taylor and Commissioner Bob Heath, Sr.
Staff present: Jasen Haskins, Sr Planner,and Administrative Assistant Mary Bradley.
CITIZENS COMMENTS
Chair Lewis opened the Citizens Participation. With no one approaching the
Commissioners, Chair Lewis closed the Citizens Participation.
CONSENT AGENDA
1. Consider and act upon approval of the Minutes from March 6, 2017, Special
Called Meeting.
A motion was made by Commissioner Park and seconded by Commissioner Stone,to
approve the minutes as submitted.Motion carried 5 --O.

Consider and act upon a recommendation to the City Council regarding a request to alter
the exterior of an existing building by removing a window and replacing it with a single
door. Residential structure located within the Keller's 1st Addition, Block 3,Lots 5 & 6A

Mr. Haskins stated that the applicant is requesting approval to remove a window
and replace with a single door on the front façade of an existing structure. The
structure was built in 1985.
The space is a multi-tenant building, occupied with various commercial uses.
Board Discussion
Mr. Bobby Heath, Jr., 205 Arborview Drive, Wylie, representative for the
applicant, stated that the building has multiple suites, and one suite has one door
with two windows. The request is to replace one side light window and leave one
side light. The additional door will provide additional access to the suite and will
match the existing door..
Board Action
A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, and seconded by Commissioner
Stone to recommend approval to the City Council to alter the exterior of an
existing building by removing a window and replacing it with a single door.
Property located 108 S Jackson, Lots 5 & 6A, Block 3, within the Keller's l'
Addition. Motion carried 5 —0,.
Item 2. 101 S Birmingham
Consider and act upon a recommendation to the City Council regarding a request
to alter the exterior of an existing building by removing a wall and installing a
covered porch. Residential structure located within the Keller's l ' Addition,
Block 3, Lot 17 (101 S Birmingham St)

Board Discussion
Mr. Heath stated that the property is located at the corner of Oak and
Birmingham. On the north side of the property, the proposal is to remove a
portion of a wall, and a window. Construct a wraparound porch and a door. The
porch will make it more consistent to the original structure.
On the south elevation all windows and doors will remain the same on the
exterior,but not all operable. On the east side the small porch will be removed.
Bryan Rogers, and Curtis Nelson, general contractors for the property, stated that
the structure was remodeled at least three times from the original, causing the
roofline to be altered. The proposed wraparound porch will expose a portion of
the original house,.

A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, and seconded by Commissioner
Pugh, to recommend approval to the City Council to alter the exterior of an
existing building by removing a wall and installing a covered porch. The property
located 101 S Birmingham Street, Lot 17, Block 3, within the Keller's P'
Addition. Motion carried 5 0.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Pugh to
adjourn the meeting.All Commissioners were in consensus.
