10-04-1922 (City Council) Minutes Oct 4-1922
Council met on above date in regular session with the following members present Geo W
Housewright Mayor. D Story, Jeff Knight, CJ Marrs, Aldermen, WF Duncan Any, Albt Davis
Clerk. on motion & second minutes of meeting held 9/20-22 was approved.
On Roll Call all members were found present. Was regularly moved & seconded that SG
Allison be allowed to place gasoline tank under sidewal & street provided that it be allowed to
remane permanently —motion carried.
Motion made by JR Bowman & seconded by CJ Marrs that the charter of Wylie be amended to
make it a city of less than 5000 Instead of town as provided by act of Legislature, motion carried.
Election was ordered to be held Nov 9th to see whether we should issue $50 000100 of Bond for
Water works, CM Gallagher was appointed to hold said Election with JR Kirby assistant, RR
Henswright & IT Brooks was appointed as clerks.
Contract was entered into with the Municipal Eng Co to superintend the the building of the
system as per the written contract on file.
On motion by Jeff Knight & Seconded by CL Hillis that Nov 16th be designated as the next
regular meeting.
Motion carried. —Meeting adjourned Oct 6-1022
