09-04-1925 (City Council) Minutes Sept 4th 1925 Council met in regular session at 730 pm in City Attys office with the following present: GW Housewright, Mayor, LF Daniel, Jno Houston, Loyd Neilon, JH Finch Aldermen= WF Duncan Atty—LF Hughes clerk. An ordinance covering tax rate of 1.00 on water bonds and 25 cents to general fund was passed in regular order. The following accounts were allowed and ordered paid: Buggs Weaver Machy Co = $16.73 Ed Andrews `/z day with team $2.50 Housewright Hammett Co $72.86 It was regularly moved and seconded that CD Colson be granted permission to cover well with Boiadare logs and dirt providing he move watering trough to place designated by the Street Committee. Motion carried. The City Marshall was instructed to deliver the following notice to all business Concerns in the city: "You are hereby notified to discontinue depositing all filthy water or slop, or any other kind of water, trash or refuse of any kind whatsoever, into or upon any street, alley or public ground within the corporate limits of the town of Wylie Texas, as the practice is contrary to ordinances of said town, and is at present creating a nuisance and unhealthy conditions. This notice shall be effective fifteen (15) days from the date hereof" By order of the city council. (Dated 9/14/25) There being no further business council adjourned.
