03-02-1927 (City Council) Minutes March 2nd 1927. Council met in regular session at 8 pm with the following members present: LO Neal mayor, Jick Housewright, John Houston, Loyd Neilon and Low. Daniel Alderman, LF Hughes clerk. Mr. JA Wilson was present in the interest of having the old original ditch at the sewer disposal plant cleaned out. He was informed that the work would be done as soon as the weather and the present condition of the ground would permit scraper and fresno work. The mins of previous meeting were read & approved. On regular motion & second an election was ordered to be held on the 5th of April 1927, same being the first Tuesday in April, for the purpose of electing two Alderman and a City clerk. Mo. Carried. DE Willis was appointed presiding Judge. The City Clerk was instructed to have the ballots prepared. The following bills were allowed and ordered paid: LL Creel $3.75 refund of overcharge on city Taxes. LL Gant, repairs to wagon $21.30, LL Gant $9.35 Smithing, Smithwick Service Sta $.75 cup grease, Loyd Neilon $.40 telephone call, JJ Holloman $2.25 account, Briggs Weaver co $19.13 account.
