03-07-1928 (City Council) Minutes March 7th 1928 Council met in regular session with the following present: LO Neal Mayor - Loyd Neilon, WH Brigham, CJ Marrs, Jick Housewright Aldermen, CC Marrs City Pumper LF Hughes clerk. The minutes of previous meetings were read and approved. It was moved and seconded in regular order that 30 days notice of taxes due be given all delinquents and all that are not paid within this limit will be turned over to an attorney for correction. This notice to be printed in the local newspaper. This motion carried unanimously. A city election was duly ordered to be held upon the first Tuesday in April, the same being the 3rd day of April 1928, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and 3 Aldermen. The Secy was instructed to have notice of the election run in the local newspaper. DE Willis was appointed judge of this election. The following bills were allowed & ordered paid = Homer Gunter 1.50 Smithing = Smithwick Service Sta 6.51 gas & oil for tractor grading streets = and 5.15 gas & oil = SY Allison 75 cents for Hack Saw Blades = CC Fawcett $2.50 stationery = Herald Pkg Co 3.90 local advertising = Sullivans Machy Co 27.29 material Dec 23rd There being no further business, council adjourned.
