04-23-1928 (City Council) Minutes April 23rd 1928
Council met in called session with the following present: LO Neal Mayor—CJ Marrs, WH
Brigham, Loyd Neilon Aldermen.
The results of the City Election of April 3rd were declared as follows: For Mayor Earl
Hogge, For Aldermen: JA Hammett, Chas L Hillis and E Housewright. These parties being
present each were administered oath of office by Mr Fred Duncan. Bond of Mayor Hogge was
approved.
The salaries of Councilmen & Mayor & Secy were ok'd as paid and the following bills
allowed as paid: Bill Morrow $.00 labor, HA Housewright 3.00 grading. Lou Grigsby 2.00
Labor—Dick Flannagan 2.00 Jess Mitchell 2.00 R Jones 2.00 Sam Smith 2.00 labor—city clerk
2.25 postage HH Co 32.33 bal acct TPL Co 79.30 light &power bills —CE Fawcett 1.15 acct A
Brown 4.25 acct Ehb Co 124.40 acct. Herald 11.90 acct DE Willis 6.00 Holding Election and
city of Garland 2.00 for mdse.
There being no further business council adjourned.
