04-15-1930 (City Council) Minutes April 15th 1930
Council met on above date in regular session with the following members present. GP Maynard,
Albert Brown IV Boren E Housewright RL Gallagher CL Hillis GH Richards & Albert Davis.
The meeting was opened with Prayer by A Brown. Alderman RL Gallagher was appointed
Inspector of Sewer Connections & fixtures. Communication from Fire Commissioner in regard
to training school for Firemen was read & filed. No action was taken. Bills in favor of Wylie
Motor Co for $3.00 was approved. The water questions was taken up & discussed at length, The
Sewer question was also discussed. The Sewer man was instructed to oil the cess pools at the
Sewer plant once each week. Was moved & Sec that the Sewer plant be placed in charge of the
Street Committee Motion Carried. Was moved & Sec that Marshall post Signs of($5.00 fine for
dumping rubbish or Tincans or buckets in round or on old Dumping grounds. Motion Carried.
Was moved & Sec that town accept GH Richards offer of places for dumping ground until
further action is taken.
Motion carried. Moved & Sec that Council stand adjourned until next meeting May 15/1930.
