Council met on above date with with all council present except E Housewright, after reading &
approving the minutes of previous meeting The business of the present meeting was taken up
Messrs Coyle & Alexander Auditors was present & the local auditing committee was instructed
to make a deal with them if possible to audit any books, Mr Ware of Tex Power& Lgt Co was
present with a request that we renew our contract with the for power& Lights The Mayor was
instructed by the council to renew the contract for a period of one year. The following bills were
allowed. H&H co for Pipe for well 341.00 JC Jennings 1.40 SG Allison 2.10 IV Boren 1.20 CR
Burch 3.23 TPL Co 8340 + 39.00 + 3.00 StL & SW RR Co 10.00 CC Marrs for eats for men
working at well 2.85 The council sold some second hand pipe to RL Gallagher for 3 cents per
foot. Was moved & sec that the Smith Gin Co be notified to take care of the nuisance at their
plant at once, motion carried. Moved & sec that the city discontinue the sale of water to wagons
& turn same over to private concerns. Motion carried. No further business council adjourned
