Council met with all present except Mr Boren, minutes of Last meeting read & approved. The
auditing committee reported that they had made a trade with the American Audit Co to examine
& make a report of the city books for the sum of$100.00 to be paid Feb 1st 1931. The
committees had not examined the report & were not ready to share their report. The following
bills were ailed. GP Maynard 20.83 A Brown 500 CL Hillis 8.00 E Housewright 8.00 RL
Gallagher 8.00 IV Boren 5.00 Albt Davis clerk 10.00 fire marshal 3.00 GH Richards 30.00 for
all salaries due them to Aug 31/30. JT Long 25.00 for 10 Days Pumping CC Mans (Last half of
July 37.50 first half of Aug 1250 shop mower 150 E Housewright 30.00 water collecting. Phone
calls 55 A Brown 150 Jesse Mitchell 1.00 Walter Daniel 3.00 Sam Smith 3.00 Mr. Gallagher
paid for pipes 1.20, CC Mans tendered his resignation as pumper to take effect Aug 15-30 which
was accepted. The question of wages to be paid for this service in the future was taken up and
discussed by the council and was moved & seconded that the Salary be placed at 60.00 per
month, motion carried. A List of applications for the vacancy was then read and a secret ballot
was taken resulting JF Jones 3 JT Long 1. JR Jones was declared elected. No further business
appearing
