02-16-1931 (City Council) Minutes Feb 16/31 Council met on above date all members present. After Invocation by WF Duncan Mr Minnis asked to be heard in regard to his renditions in the past. No agreement was resolved. Mr. JA Wilson also was heard in defense of his claims for damadge from overflow from Sewer plant. No agreement reached except that the town would open up their ditch. The Marshall was instructed to notify the Greenheins to move their fence from the City's property. The question of the city helping to pay the night watchman was taken up & on motion & sec was voted to pay 10.00 each month as long as the present watchman was kept. Moved & sec that an election be ordered to be held on the 7th day of april for the purpose to elect 3 Aldermen Mr Jno Houston was appointed to hold said election Motion carried. A letter from RL Mouldon in regard to the Stone vs Wylie case was read. Moved & sec that 10.00 be sent to Mr. Moulden to apply on costs in Higher Court Motion Carried The Clerk was instructed to buy a Minute Book for the city.
