12-15-1944 (City Council) Minutes 12-15-44
At a regular meeting of the council tonight attended by RR Addington, CR Hillis, CG
Housewright, JH Pitts. Minutes of meetings 10/18/44/-10/15/44/-11-15/44 were read and
approved.
The Secretary was instructed in pay Mrs. HA Long 1 —work pay 31 25 to reimburse her for work
at the water plant during the week 12,1/44 to 12/8/44 while HA Long was on vacation, this
action was authorized by the council at a prior date.
The Fire Marshall Lewis Turner has resigned and a new Fire Marshall was appointed discussed
but left the appointment to the Mayor.
The street in front of was discussed an decided to widen said
street at first opportunity.
The street repairs at the Santa Fe Ry was discussed and same place was left to the street
committee to repair those places that need it worse.
