CALL TO ORDER-WYLIE CITY COUNCIL
City Council members present were Mayor John Mondy; Mayor Pro Tem/City Chair Eric
Hogue and Council Member/City Vice Chair Rick White. School Board members present
were: WISD Trustee/School Subcommittee Chair Susan Schuler; WISD Trustee Ronni
Fetzer and WISD Trustee Henry Garland. Also in attendance were Dr. John Fuller,
Superintendent of Schools and Mark B. Roath, City Manager.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Format for Joint Meeting
The Subcommittee membership requested the following information be presented at the
joint meeting: (1) an overlay of future City and School projects; (2) an overlay of current
City subdivision information; and (3) demographic information used by the School
District to plan future facilities.
John Mondy asked about the purpose of the joint meeting, i.e. is it to share information or
address issues?
Henry Garland asked about how other cities and schools districts fund capital
improvement projects such as off-site road improvements around a school. He also
expressed that a temporary light, at F.M. 544 and Hooper Road, will be necessary before
the opening of Cooper Junior High.
2. Review of Proposed Parks and Trails
The Subcommittee membership discussed recent park and school vandalism. Members
also discussed the need for restrooms at the Blackland Prairie Park.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 a.m.
