CALL TO ORDER
Chair Gary Taylor called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM and stated that a quorum was present.
Commissioners present: Vice Chair Sandra Stone, Commissioner Kevin Finnell, and Commissioner John
Pugh. Commissioners Absent: Commissioner Scott Cessna, Commissioner Joe Chandler, and
Commissioner Deborah Hall.

CITIZENS COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS
No Citizens were present wishing to address Commissioners.
CONSENT AGENDA
A. Consider,and act upon,approval of the Minutes of March 28,2019,Special Called Meeting of
Wylie Historic Review Commission.
Council Action
A motion was made by Commissioner Finnell, and seconded by Vice Chair Stone to approve the March
28,2019, Special Called Meeting as presented. A vote was taken and passed 4—0.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Consider and act upon a recommendation to the City Council regarding the approval for
substantial renovations in accordance with ordinance No. 2013-17 for the remodel of an
existing residential structure, generally located south of W. Brown and north of Jefferson,
and more specifically at 302 N Ballard St within the Downtown Historic District.

Ms. 011ie stated that the applicant desires to enhance and remodel existing residential structure for a
continual restaurant use. Ile renovations include a walk-in cooler to the rear, re-align the entrance to
have a side approach, with outdoor seating. The proposal includes additional windows to the south of the
building to create an inside and outside bar area. The additional materials will match the existing
materials,
Board Discussion
Ms. Felina ",lurner, applicant for Frankie's Mexican Cuisine, stated that there is an existing non-operable
door on the south, and intent is to move it three feet over, due to the remodeling of the restrooms.
Commissioners expressed concern of the new windows to the south. Discussion included a slider
window, which included two stationary windows and three slider windows; or to install specific period
style windows. At the end of the discussion, the applicant and Commissioners agreed to have specific
period style windows.
Commissioner Action
A motion was made by Vice Chair Stone, seconded by Commissioner Pugh to recommend approval to the
City Council for the remodel of an existing residential structure, with stipulations that new windows will
have the same aesthetic period style as existing windows. Property located at 302 N Ballard.. A vole was.
taken and passed 4 —0.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Vice Chair Stone seconded by Commissioner Finnell to adjourn. A vote was
taken and passed 4—0.
