• Feb. 11, 1950
1. The 1. City Council, City of Wylie met in regular session on the above date
with all members being present.
1 The minutes of the previous meeting wits mere read and approved.
I A discussion about the tax collector was made with the following motion being
made. A motion was made by J.F . Edginnton and seconed by F.A. Gallagher that
J.A. Pitts be hired to assess and collect taxes for the City of Wylie for the
year of 1950. Motion carried.
• A discussion was made in regard to the bonded indebtness of the City of Wylie.
An election was ordered by the Mayor. The motion 71n0 made by F.A., Gallagher
and seconed by J.H. Edgington that an election be held for the purpose of;
electing one (1) mayor; two (2) aldermen; one (1) fecretary;• and One (1)
City Marshall be elected. Motion carried. The mayor appointed A.D. Boyd
and J.E. Bowden to get up the ticket.
A discussion was made in regard to day fork for the present City Marshall
J.T. Hickman. The city promised their cooperation in this matter in any
way possible.
R.J. Hail and several of the fire boys met with the council, and a discussion
on the insurance key rate was given with no definite action.
No further business the council adjurned to meet again at the next regular or
call meeting by. the mayor., .
