04-16-1951 (City Council) Minutes _ , Cr11 OF WYLIE WYLIE, TEXAS Apr. my 16, 1951 The City Council. , City of Wylie met in remular session on the above date with all members present, and the following visitors: Mr. John L. Bostic & Oren F. Fersley, & H. 1.. Long. Mr. Myers of the J.L. Myers & Sons Co. vet with the City in remard to the *rouble that we have been having* with our water well. It was finally agreed that there was a hole in the ca.sinn of the well, brt no action was taken toward fixing- it. This was to be stu.ddied and watehed for a period and. see if sore way could be found to fix thf trouble. 1. discussion was made in regard to the deliquent water bills, with the following action. P motion was made by R.V. Groves and, Seconed by J.W. Nicholson that IIIXbillUN no bills be allowed to run over two months. When a bill become two months old water service is to be discontinued, the 1Qth of the third month. A *I.00 charge will be made to re-connect a person having been disconnected for non-payment. With the approval of the council Mayor D.W. Click made the following appointments: H.A. Long Water Superintendent; J.A. Pitts assessor &. collector of taxes, and Mrs. Rita Smith-Treasurer. There was a. discussion In renard to opening the street going to Oren Hensley's house. Fe was supppse to try to get the cooperation of his neighbors in Petting the rightway and the City was to use their grader nt to fix the road.
