04-27-1952 (City Council) Minutes CIcrr Or WYLIE WYLIE, TEXAS April 27, 1952 The City Council of this City met in call session on the above date with the following members present: Mayor J.A. Benton, Aldermen: J.E. Bowden, R.V. Groves C.R. Taylor, A.D. Boyd, J.R. Nicholson and Sect. W.W. Housewright. A discussion was. made in regard to the new right-of-way through the City of Wylie for highway 78. The highway department and Santa Fe Railroad requested that the City pave a truck drive or landing on the south stow side of the platform on the south side of the tracks in this City. This will be the highways property, but they are granting the railroad the use of this property if it is paved. A Motion was made by J.W. Nicholson and seconed by C.W. Taylor that the City Secretary be authorized to notify our representative, Mr. Roland Boyd Attorney for the City, that the City will either pave or see that this property will be paved at City's expense. Motion Carried. A discussion was made in regard to the pile of dirt that is front of the Johnston Factory. J.E. Bowden Brae authorized to get Jakie Hicks to move this di*t for Four Dollars.
