June 10, 1952
The City Council met in call session on the above date with all members etcept
Aldermen A.D. Boyd being present.
Mr. Cass of The Dixie Tank g. Bridge Co. met with the council in regard to repairs
on the City Water Tower.
He offered us a bid ot $1200.00 to scale, inspect, and apply one coat of protective
coating paint to the interior of tank, and xst scale off loose rust and paint the
exterior or the tank one brush coat. The city would have to furnish the paint
for the exterior.
For all repair work he submit the following hi- .
For full-fillet welding of scams f2.50 Per lineal foot.
For rebuilding rivet heads with -reld .70 each
For fill welding pits .70 each.
A motion was made by C.W. Taylor and seconed by J.W. Nicholson that the council
give this proposal due consideration and let Mr. Cass know if the City would
accept his bid.
No further business the council adjourned.
