WYLIE, TEXAS
Jan. 26, 1953
The city council of this city met in regular session on the above date with
all members being present except alderman Borden.
The minutes of the December meeting were read and approved.
All bills were ordered paid.
There was a discussion in regard to the sewage line in the west part of
town with the following action being taken. A motion was made by J.W.
Nicholson and seconed by C.W. Teerlor that the water & sewage committee check
into the matter in regard to the cost. Motion carried.
There was a lengthy discussion in regard to opening a street on the Albert
Turner property with no definite action being taken.
A motion was made by J.' . Nicholson and seconed by C.W. Taylor tzk that
Mr. J.T. Hickmants resignation from night policeman be accepted. Motion
carried.
N.M. Bentley met with the council and placed his application for the job of
Night Policeman at a salary of $190.00. The council did not see fit to hire
him at the present time.
Mr. C.A. Stone met with the council in regard to taking his property into the
City Limits and furnishing sewage for same. It was explained to Per. Stone the
procedure that he xikeidxitetber should follow. He ---:gas also to have his land
surveyed to see if he could be furnished sewage.
A motion vas made b' J.T . Nicholson and seconed b,, R.V. Groves that Mr. J.W. Rees
be paid $5.00 per might as a substitute night policeman. Motion Carried.
A motion was made by C.W. Taylor and seconed by J.7. Nicholson that the City
pay 3X P' s. H.A. Long $5.00 per month for services rendered and this be paid
once a year in December. Motion Carried.
No further business the council adjourned.
