WYLIE, TEXAS
April 15, 1953
The City Council of this City met in regulPr session on the above date
with all members except Aldermen Nicholson present.
The minutes of the March meeting were read and approved.
The results of the election April 7, 1953 were read showing the following
mem duly elected. R.S. Posey, W.P. Poor, and A.D. Boyd.
The new members were sworn in by Mayor Benton replacing the retiring
councilmen J.W. Nicholson, J.E. Bowden., and A.D. Boyd.
All bills were ordered paid.
A discussion was made in regard to the garbage pick up in the town with the
following action being taken. The pickup man is to get his money immediately
following his cleaning of the town.
There was a discussion in regard to the City buying a dump truck and operating
it themselves. No definite action was taken on this matter.
Mayor Benton made the following appointments with the consent of the council.
Water 4 sewage committee. , Aldermen Groves and Boyd., Street Committee.,
Aldermen w.P. Poorm., R.S. Posey., and C.W. Taylor. All other appointments
were for a period of two years at their appointment in hpril 1952.
Aldermen W.F. Poor was put in charge of the maintainer.
