WYLIE, TEXAS
Aug. 16, 1953
The City Council of this City Met in regular session on the above date with the
following members of the council .being present. Mayor J.A. Benton., Aldermen
W.P. Poor, R.S. Posey, A.D. Boyd, R.V. Groves, and C.W. Taylor.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
All Bills were ordered paid.
There wqs a discussion in regard to the trash disposal with no action being taken.
Mr. M.E. Wood net with the council and presented a pepition to the council, and
ask that the take the necessary action to remedy the smoke and dust caused by the
R.V. Groves Gin. To the knowledge of the council there was no ordinance prohibiting
the burning of anything in the City Mots, but Roland Boyd Was to examine the
City minute books and see if he could find anything that would pertain to this matter.
Mr. Boyd is to report to the City if there is anyi3dedmxldm- ordinance regulating
this matter.
No further business the council adjourned to meet again at the mext regular or
call meeting.
