Sept. 15, 1953
The city council of this city met in regular session on the above date with all
members except Alderman R.V. Groves being present.
The minutes of the August meeting were read and approved.
All bills were ordered paid.
J.M. Butler Jr. met with the council in regard to the the sewage line that gem
110113011 the City wants to put across his property in the south end.of town. He agreed to
let the City go across the property. He and alderman Boyd are to meet and work out
the arangement and then bring it to the secretary for typing.
Esther Edwards met in regard to the alley in back of her fathers house, Dr. G.P.
Maynard, The council instructed her to have the necessary papers drawn up so that
the council can officially close the alley.
W.D. Green met with the council in regard to blacktoping some of the streets in the
City of Wylie. The council instructed Mr. Green to check into the cost and how much
he woulr3 be able to raise toward the expense. Outside of that the council took no
action on this matter.
With no further business the council adjourned.
