12-16-1953 (City Council) Minutes CITY OF WYLIE
WYLIE, TEXAS
im Dec. 16, 1953
The City Council of this City met in regular session on the above date with
all members of the council being present.
The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved.
All Bills were ordered paid.
There was a discussion in regard to the Telephone Co. paying str-et rental
in this City. A motion was made by R.S. Posey and seconed C.W. Taylor
that the attorney for the city be given instructions to proceed with collecting
of this fee. Motion carried.
There was a lengthy discussion in regard to the garbage pick up in our c;ty,
with the following action being taken. A motion was made by A.D. Boyd and
seconed by C.W. Taylor that the trash be p3_cked up on the first of the month
o$ the first suitable day there after in the residential aera, and on the first
work day, or first suitable day of each week in the business district. Motion
carried.
With no further business the council adjourned to meet again at the next regular
or call meeting by the council.
