March 15, 1954

The city council of this city met in regular session on the above date with
all members of the council being present.- _
The minutes of the February meeting were read and approved.
All bills were ordered paid.
Mr. Harris and Mr. Lemons of the Lone Star Gas Co. met pith the council
in` regard to getting their franchise extended. The following action was taken.
A motion was made by C.W. Taylor and seconed by W.P. Poor that the city sign
the franchise. Motion carried.
0. W. Hampton met with the council in regard to getting some more fire hose for
f the fire department. The following action was taken. A motion-was made by
R. S. Posey and seconed by L.P. Poor that the city buy the necessary hose.
Motion carried.
12/ misters Bostic, Jackson, and Shields met with the., council in regard to
getting water run to the north end of the Bostic Addition, A motion was made
by R.V, Groves and second by C. . Taylor that the water lne be run. Motion
carried. Aldermen's Groves and Boyd were appointed to Garry this out.
In a drawing for places on the official ballot the following results were found.

A motion was made by R.V. Groves and seconed by C.W. Taylor that the City give
C.C. Zachary a sewage permit in payment for damages derived in running the sewage
line in the John L. Butler property. Motion Carried.
With no further business the council adjourned to meet again at th<; nest regular
meeting.
