May 4, 1954
At a call meeting of the city council on the above date all members of the
council except secretary W.W. Housewright were present.
At this meeting a motion was made by R.S. Posey and seconed by W.P. Poor that
the city hire J.T. Hickman as day policeman and street maintainence man
at a salary of $150.00 monthly. His is to be responsible only to the
mayor and city council. Motion Carried.
A motion was made by R. S. Posey and seconed by R.V. Groves that the water
superintendent , Mr. H.A. Long, be given a Raise in salary in the amount of
$15.00 monthly, making his salary a total of a]6 $265.00 monthly. He is
also to ket a 2 weeks za paid vacation each year. Motion carried.
