WYLIE, TEXAS
May 24, 1954
At a call meeting of the council on the above date all the members were present.
There was a lengthy discussion in regard to speeding and reckless driving
in the City limits. The following action was taken in rgard to this matter.
A Motion was made by R.S. Posey and seconed by R.V. Groves that anyone caught
driving reckless or speeding would be fined $10.00 and cost for the first
offense, and each time there-after it would be doubled. Motion Carried.
There was a discussion in regard to hiring Mr. J.T. Hickman as tempor
City Marshall. The following action was taken. A motion was made by .
A.D. Boyd and seconed By R.S. Posey that Mr. Hickman be hired as a salary
of $50.00 monthly as temporary City Marshall. His duties are to be as
follows. He is to be on duty on Saturday and Sunday of each week and he is
to be subject to call at any time he is needed. Motion Carried.
