07-16-1954 (City Council) Minutes CITY 101 WYLIE
WYLIE, TEXAS
Juiv 16, 1954
The city council of this city met in regular session on the above date with
all members of the council being present, except alderman Posey.
The minutes af the last meeting were read and approved.
All bills were ordered paid. The secretary was instructed to pay all
monthly bills withoutia the consenS of the council. The purpose of this
was to eliviate past due bills.
A resolution in tki regard to the Garland Wylie park area that had been
passed by the Garland City Council was read and the following action was
taken. A motion was made by A.D. Boyd and Seconed by R.V. Groves that the
resolution be passed. Motion Carried. Copy of which is attached hereto.
A motion was made by A.D. Boyd and econed By M.P. Allen that E.J. (Jakie)
Hicks salary be r,ised from $115.00 to $125.00 monthly for cleaning up the
town. Motion Carried.
There was a lengthy discussion in regard to raising the night watchman/
Mr. R.A. MIX Cross, salary from $175.00 to $200.00 monthly. It was the
oppinion of the council that just for a night-watchman the City was paying
as much as they could afford. Mr. Cross was to he notified of this action.
With no further business the council adjourned to meet again at the next
regular c call meeting by the mayor.
