Feb. 15, 1955
The City Council of the City of Wylie met in regular session on the above date
with all members of the council being present. Mr. Roland Boyd, attorney for
the City of Wylie, and Mr. J.A. Pitts , assessor and collector of taxes also met sit
with the couheil. >

There was a discuss ion in regard to the deliquent taxes in the city and the
following action was decided upon. itcxc A motion was made by R.V. Groves and seconed
by R.S. Posey that Mr. Boyd write a letter each person who is behind and
tell them that they will have 30 days to pay their taxes, and if they are not
paid by that time suit will be brought against them. Motion carried.
An ordinance that Mr. Boyd had prepared in regard to the Garland Wylie Park
on Take Lavon was read and passed. A copy of which is attached hereto.
The mayor with the consent of the council appointed Mr. J.A. Pitts as assessor
and collector for the coming year.
With no further business the council adjourned.
