CITY OF WYLIE
WYLIE, TEXAS
March 23, 1956
At a regular meeting of the city council on the above date, all members of
the council except alderman Green were present.
The mfites of the previous meeting were read and approved.
There was a discussion in regard to tier M.D. Simmons being apOoint4d Water
Superintendent. The following action was taken. A motion was made by
R.V. Groves and seconed by M.F. Allen that the mayorts appointment of
M.D. Simmons as Water Superintendent be accepted. Motion Carried.
Mr. H.A. Long the past Water Superintendent ask that he be relieved of
any and all nix moneytary responsibility, and the following action was
taken. A motion was made by A.D. Boyd and seconed tkxt by R.V. Groves that
the City relieve Mr. Long of this responsibility. Motion carried.
The secretary was instructed to pay Mr. H.A. Long one months salary and Mrs.
H.A. Long $50.00 for services rendered.
There was a discussion in regard to the alley between Keefer and cottonbelt
ave., and Marble and Jefferson being closed. The following action was taken.
A motion was made by R.B. Richardson and Seconed by M.F. Allen that the city
not let this alley be closed. Motion carried.
With no further business the council adjourned.
