06-28-1956 (City Council) Minutes • CITY OF WYLIE WYLIE, TEXAS Viz„ June 28, 1956 The City Council of this City met in regular session on the above Date with all members of the council except Alderman Allen being present. The minutes of the previous were read and approved. A resolution relieving the North Texas Municipal later District and the Simpson Corporation of any and all responsibility of replacing the streets to their original conditions on Ballard and Brown Streets was introduced. The following action was taken. A Motion was made by A.D. Boyd and Second by R.B. Richardson that the city pass said resolution. Motion Carried. A cow of which is attached. A meet killing ordinance discussion was held, and the itty attorney was to µ' check with Mr. Yeager in regard to this and draw up the necessary papers. There was a discussion in regard to the city running a water line to the city limits so that Jimmy Kreymer could be serviced with water. The following action was taken. A motion was made by R.B. Richardson and seconed by W.D. ' `4' Green that the city run a 2n line from the nearest point to the intersection of 5th St. and _ . highway' 7g. Notion carried. There was a discuss ion in regard to the planning commission that had been created. The following men were appointed to replace the ones previously appointed, They %ere: R.S. Posey., C. Truett Smith., Jick Housewright., C.T. Shields., & Chas. Taylor. There was a discussion in regard to T.P.&1 Co. soliciation door to door the sale of light bulbs, without the regular permit fee. " The following action was taken. A motion was made by A.D. Boyd and seconed by R.B. Richardson that since this firm was a tax paler they should be exempt from this fee. Motion carried. There was a discussion in regard to the city letting a firm come into the city and pick up garkae and trash. They were to secure their own customers and do their sm own collections.
