10-25-1956 (City Council) Minutes R CITY OF WYLIE WYLIE, TEXAS Oct. 29, 1956 The City council met in regular session on the above date with all members of the council being present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.. A discussion in regard to a water truck lr being bought by the council was led by Alderman Richardson with the following action being taken. A motion was ma'e by R.V. Groves and seconed by M.F. Allen that the city buy the proposed water truck from J.L. Combest. Motion Carried. Jack Bentley and J.T. Hickiian met with the council met with the council in regard to how their duties as peace officers would be carried out Halloween Night. The council instructed these men to try to prevent any damage to either city of private property and to use their own judgement in this matter. Bob Hogan met with the council and presented aw an advertisement that he recormedded he placed in the Texas Contractor and the Local Paper for 4 pumps. Specifications for these pumps were to be available at the office of Forrect and Cotton and the City Secretary. After this was approved Mr. Hogan presented preliminary plans for the disposal plant and led a discussion in regard to this. yttioomartonmentaimairainiamingiiiiNgi. A discussion in regard to Jakie Hicks salary was held and the following action be taken. A motion was made by R.V. Groves and Seconed by LB. Richardson that his salary be raised to $1 0.00.
