11-08-1956 (City Council) Minutes . ,F ". 3 • CITY OF WYLIE WYLIE, TEXAS Nov. 8, 1956 At the regular meeting of the council all members were present except Mayor Click. In his absence Mayor Pro-tem presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bids on four (4) pumbs were received and opened at 8:00 P.M. After the opening and reading of the bids the following action was taken. A motion was made by R.B. Richardson and Seconed by L.D. Green that our engineers, Forrest and Cotton be given the oportunity to study the bids and make rec- ommendations to the council. Motion carried. The school board met with the council in trying to work out some solution to the street in front of the school. After a lengthy discussion in regard to this matter the following action was taken. A motion was made by R.V. Groves and second by R.B. Richardson that our engineers make a survey of this street and furnish us with their recommendations. Motion carried. Mr. Hogan presented the prelimiary plans for our disposal plant and let in a discussion of same. After the discussion Mr. Hogan was 3hstructed to place an add in the Texas Contractor magagline advertising same. A motion was made by R.V. Groves and ,Seconed by R.B. Richardson that the mayor and secretary be empowered to sign the completed plans when they were presented. Motion Carried. A motion was made by R.B. Richardson and second by M.F. Allen that Forrest and Cottons m recommendation on awarding the contract for the furnishing of the four pumps be accepted and that they be given the aughortity to award the contract themselves. • With no further business the council adjourned.
