CITY OF WYLIE
WYLIE, TEXAS
Feb, 28, 1957
At a regular meeting of the council on the above date all members of the
council except Mayor D.N. Click were present. In the absence of Mayor
Click, Mayor Fro-tem Boyd presided.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
There was a discussion in regard to the many leaks that are in our water
mains. The water X& sewage committee were to try to get these fixed.
There was a discussion} in regard to the city selling the old safe to Mr.
W.F. Duncan for $50.0 . After deciding that the city has no need for the
safe the following action was taken. A motion was made by R.V. Groves and
seconed by M.F. Allen that the city sale same. Motion carried.
H.M. (Jack)Bentley met with the council and ask that the city buy a two
way radio for his car. ffir. Bentley said that he could have one installed for
$250.00. There was much discussion in regard to this matter with the following
action being taken. A motion was made by R.B. Richardson and Seconed by W.D.
Green that the city pay the $250.00 for the radio. Motion Carried. It was
agreed by both parties that even though the radio was installed in Mr. Bentley's
private car it is still the property of the city and will remain so.
There was a discussion in regard to the way the water department was XXX being
run and changes that need to be made. No action was taken in regard to this
matter.
With no further business the council adjourned.
