WYLIE, TEXAS
April 10, 1958
At a regular meeting of the city council on the above date *1I members
of the council were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
There was a fina ncial.discussion held in regard to the cities financial
condition. It was agreed that all expenses would be cut to the bear minimum.
There was a discussion in regard to the water and sewage department and the
way it was being run. The water and sewage committee were to investigage this
matter.
A discussion was held in regard to collecting for the paving that was done
on the alley west of Ballard in the business district. A motion was made by
RIEXXXIMMINX Joe Howrey and seconed by R.B. Richardson that the merchants
be sent bills in regard to this matter. Motion carried.
A discussion in regard to the Wylie-Garland Park area at Lake Lavon was held.
The Mayor appointed 011ie Addington and C.E. Collins to serve on the committee
in regard to this matter.
The city agreed to go on record as supporting a clean-up; fix up campain
that the Garden Club is s pencering.
Mr. Pitts bill in the amount of $797.55 was persent4d for payment for assessing
and collecting taxes for the past year. This was ordered paid.
There was a discussion in regard to changing the meeting time of the council
to only one meeting a month. The following action was taken. A motion was made
by C.E. Collins and Seconed by R.B. Richardson that this meeting be on the
4th Thursday of each month. Motion Carried.
With no further business the council adjourned.
