07-08-1958 (City Council) Minutes CITY_ O.F WYLIE WYLIE, TEXAS Y' July,8,19 The City council of this city met in regular session on the above date with all members of the council ejccept Alderman Howrey being present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. All Bills were ordered paid. Mr. Jick Housewright and Mr. Ingram of the North Texas Municipal Water District met with the council aunt in regard to getting water at a second point of delivery for the city of Wylie. It was Mr. Housewright's intentions to place a two (2inch) Inch water line on the water district's line going to Plano so that water can be furnished to the new development that he is developing. Their purpose of meeting with the council was to see if the City would be interested in paying the difference in the two inch line and the six inch line that would furnish water for any future development. The council decided to get figures on the difference before any definite action was taken. Mr. Gay faint submitted an ordinance combining the office of Sect-Trea., and the following action was taken. A motion was made by R.B. Richardson and seconed by 011ie Addington that the ordinance be passed. Motion carried. With the consent of the council the mayor appointed Dr. T.M. Thimble health officer for the city of Wylie. There was a discussion in regard to a dry toiled in the south part of town. The secretary was instructed to write the offender a letter in regard to this matter when a signed complaint was filed with the city. There was a discussion in regard to an Equalization Board for the city. A motion was made by Mrs. J.L. Bostic and seconed by B.E. Collins that the Mayor be given authority to appoint the board. Motion carried. A discussion in regard to the city limits was held with no definite action being taken. With no further business the council adjourned. R.W. Housewright-Sect. A.D. Boyd-Mayor
