On the above date the city council of this city net in regular session with the
following members of the council being present. Mayor Boyd, Aldermen, Bostic
Addington, Green, and Parker.. Sect. Housewright.
Mr. Mike Voris met with the council in regard to getting a letter written
stating that the City would assume the responsibility of maintaining the
first portion of paving on Old Plano Road When it is completed and that
we would extend the paving as development mt demanded same. The following
action was taken. A motion was made by 011ie Addington and Second by W.D.
Green that the city secretary be instructed to write the letter. Motion
carried.
All Bills were ordered paid.
Two ordinances and petitions bringing Wylie Industrial Park in to the City
Limits were presented and the following action was taken. Motions were made
by 011ie Addington And E.J. Parker and seconed by Mrs. J.L. Bostic on both
accounts. --Both Motions carried.
An ordinance bringing the old disposal plant property into the city limits
mmrxpz was presented and a motion by W.D. Green and Seconed by 011ie Addington
Motion Carried.
An ordinance disposing of an elective office of city secretary and making it
appointive was presented. Motion wr made by Mrs. J.L. Bostic and Seconed by
E.J. Parker to accept. Motion Carried.
There was a discussion in regard to the long id discussed city Judge office,
and an ordinance creating same was presented. A mg tion was made by W.D. Green
and seconed by Mrs. J.L. Bostic, that the ordinanci'iP passed. Motion Carried.
Through a motion by W.D. Green and seconed by E.J. Parker it was decided that
the city would receive bidds up to three o'clock August 25, 1959 on the extention
of the water lines to the Wylie Industrial Park. Motion Carried.
With no further business the council 411 adjourned.
