April i 1960
The City council of this city met in regular session on the above
date with all the members being present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Victor with the Lone star * s Cr. met with the council in regard
to a rate increase for their company. After much discussion of the
matter E.J. Parker made a moton and it was seconed by 011ie Addington
that the matter be taken under consideration for the time being.
Motion carried.
A canvas of the election was held and the following persons were
declared elected. Mayor Boyd, and Aldermen C.E. Collins an-J
J.L. Bostic.
Mayor Boyd appointed Mrs. Bostic and C.E. Collins to serve as a
committee to secure an equalization board for the City. W.O. Green
E. J. Parker, and 011ie Ac,Cincjtcn were to secure an appraisel board.
On a motion by Mrs. J. L, Bostic and Seconed b y VJ.D. Green; W.R.
(Bill) Bezrran 's salary Alas to he raised to 335.00 monthly as of the
first of January 1960. Motion Carried.
There was a discussion in regard Lc the Cotton Belt Railroad moving
the depot from Wylie. A motion was made by C.E. Collins and seconed
by W.L'. Green that the City go on record as apposing same and filing
a reiclution with the Railroad Commission to that effect. Mot: on Carried
All bills were ordered paid.
There was e continued discussion in regard to the punch clock for the
city, bLt no action ' as taken in regard to this matter.
Vith no further business the council adjourned.
